I live in NJ, aka The Garden State, so I know my fair share of farms when it comes to produce, pumpkin picking, apple picking, etc.
ROBA's is the real deal. Having a summer house about 40 minutes away, we visited last year and I was certainly impressed. This year I was utterly amazed at the renovations, variety, and value they offer. It is amazing. Don't be scared at the $15.00 admission because they offer 22 free activities with about 13+ being LEGIT that will occupy your time. From jump castles to train rides to dog shows to NFL and MLB throwing areas to petting zoos to Tug of War, it was sensory overload.
Some attractions cost a few bucks (like the apple shoot) but it's still reasonable. Food options are everywhere and you can actually reserve fire pits or tents. If you got a liquor license and sold hard cider or beer, I would move in down the block. Don't delay, def hit ROBA's before the season ends. Bring some comfortable walking shoes, it could be a long day and it's spread out.
The best over priced fun you will ever have when you could make this in your backyard, get drunk and find a cornfield somewhere else in NEPA, or have your drunk relative attach a wagon to a lawn mower! Save your money, buy a pumpkin at Walmart, take your kid or family somewhere else and save $100. Prices go up EVERY year and it has seriously gotten out of control. Yes, it is fun here but you will be kicking yourself in the ass when you see how much money you have spent when you could have done other things close to it much cheaper. I took my 4 year old grandson recently to Robas Farms. I was very diappointed and do not plan on returning. I felt the entrance fee was high especially for a 4 yr old.
(come on folks, there's a recession remember?) Kids could have been free. The only 'animals' around were the bunnies and chickens. We didn't get to see llamas, sheep, pigs or goats. Furthermore, the maze was extremely muddy and not passable. None of the animated shows were running on the day we went. Microsoft licenses price list.
So for $20, my grandson got to enjoy a cattle ride, moon bounce, and hay ride. Quite the deal. If you plan on going, call in advance and see what is available that day.
We just purchased our first Christmas Tree from ROBA Family Farms. We are new to the area, and this is a special day for my wife and 5 kids each year. We have found our Christmas Tree place that we will use year after year. They have multiple tractor with convenient trailers to bring you to any part of the farm and help you bring back the tree of your choice. Each live tree was marked with a color coded tag to help with the selection and each tag had a price on it.
Also, they have apple cider donuts, I recommend you pick up a dozen or 5. When my college girlfriends asked what there was to do around here my first suggestion was Roba's.
It is a fun place for all ages and an exceptional way to welcome people to the rural area. There is a giant maze (which yes when we were there was also quite muddy) and the pumpkin launcher was fun for all of us to goof around with. This is just a beautiful section of farm land for the public to enjoy. Remember to make enough time for all the activities, factor in the large number of other people that are going to be there and wear an outfit that you are not going to mind getting farm dirty. I go to Roba's because there are no other options I know of in northeastern PA (if I'm wrong, I'd love to hear about others), where I attend school. After a few years of fall trips there, I have to say it's a disappointing place. We have amazing farms/orchards in all parts of NJ and this place could just do so much better being the only one of its kind.

It's rather small, they charge you for everything starting from when you walk in (as others have mentioned), they don't have apple picking or any other produce at all, and they don't even have fresh cider or pies - just individual slices of mediocre store-bought pie and the same jugs of cider you can buy in a grocery store. The workers are really unfriendly, as if they have never interacted with others before. If it weren't for all the children running around, I'd say the whole place is just kind of depressing.

Welcome to Roba Family Farms Scenic Roba Family Farms is a premiere destination for outdoor family fun in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our harvest season features pumpkins ripening under the September sun and continues through crisp fall evenings until the moon rises on Halloween. This year we are opening our doors on Friday, September 14 and will remain open until Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Jenn B Roba’s is a great place for family fun! We’ve been going for several years and always have a great time.

There are lots of activities offered including a corn maze, hayrides, dog shows, slides, bouncing mats, and tons more. The only downfall that I see is that admission is the same for everyone older than 3 (2 and under are free) so it can get pricey if you have a large family.
I definitely recommend visiting though. It’s always great fun! Melody S I came in from Louisiana and was so excited that my son had heard about this place.

I agree with FightinPhils about Millers vs Robas. Robas is ok, but Millers has been our pumpkin patch of choice the past few years, their bakery is awesome. Another great place to visit is Ritters in Hamlin. It is pretty simple in comparison to Robas or Millers.but its a great place to go when you don't want to spend the whole afternoon out, but want to head to the country for some great donuts, the best apple cider, and great freshly picked apples. They also have a nice assortment of baked goods. I think they also do hayrides too.
I can't wait for Autumn!!! It is my favorite season, albeit too short.
